Universe Strongarm

Universe Strongarm is actually just a straight up re-release of Energon Strongarm, under the (first) Universe banner. This Scout-class figure would later be re-released again in the 2007 Movie line as Outback, with a redeco homaging the original G1 Outback.

In vehicle mode, Strongarm is a decent looking jeep. While his colors aren’t garish, they’re certainly not realistic though. He’s kinda boring to be honest, despite the options you have via his energon accessories.

Robot mode is another decent little mode. He’s short and stumpy but fairly powerful looking, and he’s got good articulation for a Scout-class of that era. In fact, he’s been a favorite of the fans for being redecoed as G1 Brawn, or even Hound. That is until they’ve actually released Hound and Brawn. Oh well.

As with all the Scouts/Basics from the Energon line, Strongarm comes with an energon star and an energon weapon. The energon weapon in this case, being a crane-gun and a spare tire. The tire and crane-gun can be combined to form an axe, which is not as neat as it could be, but good enough.

Overalll
But when all’s said and done, Strongarm is a decent little figure with no real weak points, but no particular strengths either. He’s very average. If you’re going to search for him, I wouldn’t recommend paying more than original retail for him. He’ll make a good addition to your ranks, but is definitely not a must buy.

Pros: Good all across the board. No glaring weaknesses.
Cons: No strengths either. Kind of boring actually.

2.4 out of 4.0

———————————–
0.0 – 0.0 = I’d pay to get rid of it
0.1 – 0.5 = I’d give it away
0.6 – 1.0 = I wouldn’t take it for free
1.1 – 1.5 = Very Bad
1.6 – 2.0 = Bad
2.1 – 2.5 = Average
2.6 – 3.0 = Good
3.1 – 3.5 = Very Good
3.6 – 4.0 = Excellent
