Edit: Added a
couple new pic s at the bottom. Forgot to put them it in the first time around.
From Rise of Cobra, we have Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes. If you wanna know the big differences between this and the regular RoC Snake Eyes, this one obviously has a trench coat. He also lacks a face, which is a GOOD thing.
Edit: Before you ask, NO, you can’t pull his hood over his head like the box art. This makes me somewhat saaad.
Snake Eyes has more or less always been one cool lookin’ cat. Whether as a commando or a ninja, he takes advantage of the fact that black is always in fashion. And now he’s taking advantage of another stereotypically cool mode of dress, the trench coat.
I don’t wanna ramble like I always do, so I’ll just say this, if you’re looking for a cool looking figure, Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes is it. From design to details to paint job, if your goal’s that of a cool looking figure, go for Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes.
Articulation is better than expected. It the basic G.I. Joe articulation, but because of the coat, you’d expect him to be highly restricted yes? Well, yes, he can’t take full advantage of his Joe articulation, BUT, the coat can actually help in the posing of this figure. As it can function pretty much as either a base or an extra leg. And a cut at the back allows you to swing one of Snake Eye’s backwards.
Accessories are plentiful, Snake Eyes comes with his stand, his dog, an unpainted knife, and his machine gun thingy. He also comes with a katana and its sheath. Unlike other Rise of Cobra figures, Snakey doesn’t come with a cartoonishly huge cannon with a brightly colored nerf bullet looking missile. This isn’t a significant loss if you’re an older collector and think they’re generally silly anyway.
One of the better Rise of Cobra figures I’ve come across. He’s actually surprisingly better than I thought. There really isn’t much to differentiate him from a regular Snake Eyes, aside from the coat. A Hall of Heroes rendition of Snake Eyes will pretty much give you everything you’ll get here, though at the same price. It really depends on what you think of the coat. Me, I like it. You can always get a regular Snake Eyes some other time, for now, the fact that this guy has a trench coat does set him as fairly unique for a Snake Eyes. I’d recommend him, but he’s not a “must buy” like RoC Destro is.
Pros: Usual solid Joe figure. Trench coat surprisingly unrestricting.
Cons: Nothing significant.
