S.H.Figuarts Kakugo

ThreeDark: and Gigs shows off his bug fetish once agian.

Kakugo is a S.H.Figuarts figure by Bandai, from the old series Apocalypse Zero. Oh, and this review will be relatively short.

Kakugo looks cooooooool. Doesn’t matter if you don’t know the show he’s from, I don’t, but he looks cooooool. He’s relatively expensive, but he’s got a significant amount of diecast, and he looks cooooooool.

He’s got good heft, but the metal bits are vulnerable to popping off. No problem, just pop them back on.

Kakugo is filled with S.H.Figuarts crazy high articulation. Hips are slightly hindered by design, but he’s got enough movement for the most part.

He comes with what we in the business call, a plethora of hands. A big ass articulated scarf, a killer murder top and a display stand. He also comes with an alternate face plate, so you can have your Optimus Prime toys go all “GIMMEH Ur FACE!” on him.

Overall
Kakugo is… well, not exactly recommended. He’s looks outstandingly good, and since he’s a SHF toy, he’s durable enough to be playable. But the price is a tad on the high side. If you’ve got the disposable income and nothing else to blow it on, S.H.Figuarts Kakugo will be an awesome piece for your display. Otherwise, too pricey for me to whole heartedly recommend.

Pros: Looks uber, is fairly articulated and got plenty of hefty diecast.
Cons: Diecast bits prone to popping off. Pricey figure.
