Tieren are Zaku

Tieren are Zaku. There, I’ve said it.

If someone who is unfamiliar with Gundam, specifically Gundam OO, and they say something along the lines of “I like the new Zaku designs in OO”, what they mean is they like the Tieren design. Because Tieren are Zaku.

Tieren are NOT “not Zaku”. They are not so radically different as to be totally indistinguishable or exclusive from Zaku. They might not be identical to the old designs, but there’re enough design cues to know from where they originated from.

That is all.

That’s true, but the Tieren is not as “successful” as the Zaku IIs are, sure they have those GN Drive powered successors called the GNX-704T Ahead, but they were winded down for the more superior GN-XIV in the movie.
In the Universal Century, there were a total of 6 different generations of the Zaku II: the Principality of Zeon’s MS-06F Zaku II, the Earth Federation’s RMS-106 Hizack, Axis Zeon’s AMX-011 Zaku III, Neo Zeon’s AMS-119 Geara Doga, The Sleeve’s AMS-129 Geara Zulu and finally, Mars Zeon’s OMS-06RF RF Zaku II.
